Looney Ricks Kiss - Master Planning

Founded in 1983, Looney Ricks Kiss is a 160-person architecture, planning, interiors, and research firm headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., with offices in Nashville, Princeton, Dallas, Celebration, Rosemary Beach and Jacksonville, Fla. LRK provides expertise for every component of full community design. Success in the planning and implementation of traditional neighborhood developments, mixed-use developments, urban infill projects, and downtown revitalization has brought the firm the attention of developers and communities across the nation. Most notable among these are Harbor Town, Memphis, Tenn.; Celebration, Fla.; the Village of Baldwin Park, Fla.; and the Town of Ave Maria, Fla. The firm has also designed TND and mixed-use projects in Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Mississippi, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, and Canada.

Weaver Design Group - Architecture

Weaver Design Group is a residential design and planning firm based in Indianapolis that specializes in the design of residences and communities. The firm's focus is primarily New Urbanism and urban redevelopment projects and the design of urban structures. Gary Weaver, the principal of Weaver Design Group, is an award winning architect with twenty-five years of experience at the forefront of residential design and planning in Indianapolis and throughout the Midwest. Weaver Design Group believes in the principles of smart growth, the value of good design and in the creation of livable neighborhoods. These philosophies drive each and every project.

David Oliver is a semi retired architect who remains a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects. After spending the first half of his career in conventional architectural practice in the United Kingdom, Oliver then became involved in development control, with particular responsibility for development design, conservation and historic buildings. Oliver became a catalyst for change in the U.K. for taking an urban, rather than suburban, design approach to town and village expansion. Oliver then served as the lead officer in implementing the development of Poundbury, an urban extension of Dorchester, Dorset proposed by HRH Prince of Wales. Oliver continues to serve as a part-time consultant to Poundbury as well as to the City of Carmel, Indiana.

James E. Shinaver, Nelson & Frankenberger - Legal/Zoning

James Shinaver is a partner with the Carmel law firm of Nelson&Frankenberger, with a primary area of practice that includes real estate and zoning. Shinaver joined Nelson&Frankenberger in 1993 and became a partner in 1999. During that time he has represented clients on multiple real estate projects and zoning matters in Hamilton County, including the City of Carmel, City of Fishers, City of Noblesville, and the Town of Westfield. Shinaver is a graduate of Purdue University, Valparaiso University Law School, and Carmel High School.

The Schneider Corporation - Engineering

The Schneider Corporation is a third-generation, family-owned business that was founded in 1962. With over 300 professionals in seven offices, including offices in the Village of West Clay and in Historic Fort Benjamin Harrison, the Schneider Corporation has the expertise, insight, and imagination to serve as a consultant on all aspects of engineering projects. The Schneider Corporation has been involved with the planning and engineering of several new urban/mixed-use projects in the area including Saxony in Fishers, Firehouse Square and the Reserve at Broad Ripple in Indianapolis, IN, Centennial in Westfield, IN, and the following projects in Carmel, IN: the Village of West Clay, Monon & Main, Providence at Old Meridian, Traditions on the Monon, and portions of the City Center redevelopment.

Zimmerman - Volk Associates - Residential Market Analysis

Zimmerman/Volk Associates is a New Jersey-based research and development consulting company. ZVA is generally acknowledged by the country's most experienced practitioners of the New Urbanism to be the leading expert on the residential market feasibility of mixed-income, compact, traditional and sustainable communities. ZVA's work covers a broad range, from urban redevelopment to new towns; from new mixed-income inner-city neighborhoods to high-end beachfront resorts. Using its unique target market methodology, ZVA has established the optimum market position for over 200 proposed new urban communities and urban redevelopments in 41 states from New England to Hawaii. Todd Zimmerman, ZVA's managing partner, was one of the framers of the Charter of the Congress for the New Urbanism, and is a member of the CNU board of Directors. For several years he served as chairman of the Council of Task Force Chairs of the CNU. He is a frequent speaker on housing, households, urban and regional settlement patterns, and compact and sustainable development.

Gibbs Planning Group - Retail Analysis

Robert Gibbs, principal of Gibbs Planning Group, is a nationally recognized urban planning consultant. For over twenty years, Gibbs has been active in developing innovative yet practical methods for applying current trends in residential and commercial development to more than 300 town centers and historic cities. A regular speaker the Congress for the New Urbanism, Gibbs has been a pioneer and leader in the movement to revive the community-oriented principles of traditional town planning and smart growth. Gibbs has been consulted in almost every new American town center project constructed during the past 15 years and teaches an executive Urban Retail Planning session at Harvard's School of Architecture. Gibbs has consulted for the cities of Atlanta, Cambridge, Charleston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Miami, Naples, Portland and Seattle, as well as for many new urban towns including: Kentland's, Rosemary Beach and Seaside.

A&F Engineering - Traffic Engineering

A&F Engineering is a full service transportation engineering firm that specializes in roadway design, traffic signal/roundabout design, lighting, signing and transportation studies. Founded in 1966, A&F has completed numerous private and public projects within the City of Carmel, including the 116th Street roadway and lighting design from Keystone Avenue to Rangeline Road, traffic signal designs at Carmel Drive & AAA Way and at 96th Street & College Avenue and numerous Traffic Impact Studies within the City on behalf of private developers (both residential and commercial). A&F also completed a comprehensive transportation improvement plan for the City of Carmel in 1994 and will soon be conducting a transportation study for City Center.

J. Murray Clark, Baker & Daniels LLP - Legal

J. Murray Clark, a partner at Baker & Daniels LLP in Indianapolis, has been practicing law for 23 years. He has represented clients in a variety of legal matters, including government affairs and administrative law, real estate and land use law, and business and commercial transactions and disputes. Murray also has been very active in Indiana politics. From 1994 to 2004, he served 11 years as a State Senator, representing portions of Marion and Hamilton counties. Murray was recognized repeatedly as an outstanding Indiana legislator and given the Small Business Champion Award by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce in 2004. He was campaign chairman in Mitch Daniels' successful bid for Indiana Governor in 2004 after being a GOP Lieutenant Governor candidate in 2000. In the community, Murray serves on the Board of Directors for two foundations and several nonprofit organizations.
